1740 A.D. = Queen Maria Theresa became queen of Habsburg Empire following her father’s death. She was the only female to rule Habsburg Empire.

1822 A. D. = The Sunday Times was first published (a British Newspaper).

1864 A.D. = 16th U.S. President Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving Day a national holiday.

1917 A.D. = In America, Alice Paul was sentenced to seven months in prison for obstructing traffic in Washington DC caused by the Women’s Rights march she organized.

1928 A.D. = Noel Wien founded Alaska’s first airline - "Wien Alaska Airlines Inc.".

1947 A.D. = First battle between India and Pakistan.

1990 A.D. = In a revolutionary step, Andhra Pradesh Government announces a five-day week for all offices and educational institutions from November 01, 1990.

2011 A.D. = Libyan dictator Muammar al‑Qaddafi is killed in Battle of Sirte along with his son.

2017 A.D. = #Pollution. The Lancet published a study that found pollution contributes to 1 in 6 deaths worldwide.

2020 A.D. = United States Justice Department sues Google for an illegal monopoly over search and search advertising.

2022 A.D. = Prime Minister Liz Truss (PM of United Kingdom) resigned after only 44 days in office, that was the shortest term of any PM in the UK's history.
